WHAT CHILDREN SAY ABOUT THESE BOOKS:
My daughter asked if we just say we liked it or we give you stars (she’s referring to a star rating like on Amazon). I told her that she could do whatever she liked. She gave it 5 out of 5 stars. She said she’d give you 100 stars if it were an option. Got to love 6 year olds! I personally loved the moral of the story at the end. It’s a lesson that she needed to hear and learn herself. We’re working on positively handling our emotions. We would love to read another one! ES
7-year-old’s review of Bonny, Winston & Slim:
-I liked it the same as the last book! I thought it was pretty good! 10 of 5
-I liked all the pigs.
-I learned you should be kind to others and to be respectful.
-I loved the pictures a lot.
-My question is: Can I read another one?
Winston review:
-It is one of the best books; it was good. Bonny Bee is still my favorite.
-I like carrots too! Carrots are great for your eyesight.
-I really want a blanket like Miss Collins.
-Winston is smart (and stubborn) like me.
-10 of 5
WHAT PARENTS HAVE TO SAY:
– Mel, these books are absolutely beautiful. For the longest time I’ve been wanting books like this for my 4yr old! I LOVE IT!
– It’s crazy, I literally needed something to get this exact message through to him as he struggles with being patient and gentle with our kids, so this is nothing short of providential, thank you!
– These books are works of art and instill fundamental lessons about happiness. My baby and I both loved reading them!
-So I just read this short and inspirational story about “Felix the lucky duck” by Melissa Keath.
It’s a lovely and well-written story for children as much as adults actually, it is basically for everyone who wants to learn or be reminded about what is most important in life and what life is really about. Felix the lucky duck teaches us a very important message about being loved and to love. He also shares his self-insight and the power of kindness.I found this story very inspiring and I am so thankful to be able to read stories such as ” Felix the lucky duck” with its powerful message in a fun and relaxed way.

-We read two books by Melissa Keath this week. They are part of her empathy series and can I just say wow! Such wonderful messages for children to show kindness to other. Beautifully illustrated story books. If you are looking for a great story to teach children to be nice to others then look no further.
Just a warning Bessy is a Crocodile so she is a hunter, it’s a bit much for younger children and could make them scared I suggest you read beforehand to see if it’s suitable for your children.
-Felix The Lucky Duck, beautiful story by Melissa Keath about importance of loving over importance of being loved. So well written and beautifully illustrated, this book is from her new book collection that inspires children to have more empathy. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read to my child the other ones too.
